A Personal Welcome to Every Single Heart

Dear friend, If you’re reading this, you may be walking a road many understand — but few talk about honestly. The road of singleness. A journey full of hope, independence, faith, and sometimes — if we’re honest — a little loneliness, too. The world often labels singleness as “in between,” like life hasn’t started yet until you meet someone. But that couldn’t be further from the truth. In God’s story, singleness is not a pause — it’s a purpose . You are not waiting to be chosen; you have already been chosen by God Himself. This is why I created the “Single Living” Blog Series — a heart-to-heart space for believers who want to live fully, faithfully, and fearlessly in this season of life. Whether you’ve never married, are divorced, widowed, or rediscovering yourself in a new chapter, this space is for you. Here, you’ll find encouragement, practical wisdom, and faith-driven tools to live your single life not just surviving , but thriving. The Power and Purpose of Singleness Th...

A Warm Welcome to the Wisdom Keepers

Image
Written by: Dr. Layne McDonald Dear friends, If you’re reading this, it means you’ve lived through enough life to know that time isn’t the enemy — it’s the storyteller. Every wrinkle is a line of poetry. Every scar is a sermon. And every gray hair is a crown of glory, as Proverbs 16:31 reminds us: “Gray hair is a crown of splendor; it is attained in the way of righteousness.” This new blog series is our way of celebrating you — the heart, history, and hope of our families, churches, and communities. You are not “the older generation.” You are the root system of the living tree of faith. You’ve prayed prayers that shaped legacies. You’ve weathered storms that strengthened generations. You’ve built bridges of love that others now walk upon. Why This Series Matters We live in a world that moves fast — sometimes too fast. New technology every week. New cultural debates every day. And yet, beneath all the noise, one thing remains: the need for timeless wisdom . This blog series w...

Obedience Brings Miracles: The Power of Trusting God's WordObedience Brings Miracles: The Power of Trusting God's Word

Written by: Dr. Thomas Lindberg & Dr. Layne McDonald Bible Verse “But Samuel replied: ‘Does the Lord delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obeying the Lord? To obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed is better than the fat of rams.’” — 1 Samuel 15:22 (NIV) The Miracle of Obedience Miracles don’t just happen because we want them — they happen when we align our hearts, minds, and actions with God’s will. Heaven doesn’t respond to wishful thinking; it responds to faithful obedience. When Moses stood before the roaring Red Sea, the command God gave him seemed ludicrous by human logic: “Stretch out your staff.” It wasn’t a strategy or an act of physical strength. It was a command rooted in divine purpose. Moses lifted his staff in faith — and the impossible parted before him. That’s the miracle of obedience: when faith meets action, and trust outweighs understanding. God doesn’t always ask for the comfortable, the convenient, or the common-sense step. ...

God’s Timing and Miracles: Trusting the Process

Written by: Dr. Thomas Lindberg Dr. Layne McDonald Bible Verse: “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”   — Isaiah 55:8–9 (NIV) We live in a world that thrives on immediacy — quick answers, fast solutions, instant gratification. Yet, God’s miracles don’t always work on our timeline. In fact, they rarely do. The Miracle of Waiting Take the Israelites for example. God’s plan for their escape from Egypt didn’t involve a fast-paced exit; it required waiting and trusting in His perfect timing. There was a moment in Exodus 14 when Moses was instructed to turn back and camp. From a human perspective, this was the worst possible advice. Yet, God had a greater plan, one that would unfold in His perfect time. Understanding God’s Timing God’s timing is often different from ours, but it’s always better. When we face chall...
